Cryotherapy is a form of cold therapy. It has a variety of applications and is often used to relieve muscle pain, sprains and swelling after activities, injuries or even surgery. For decades, it has been commonly used to accelerate recovery in athletes after exercise.
Cryotherapy decreases the temperature of tissue surfaces and can minimize hypoxic cell death, edema accumulation, and muscle spasms. Minimising each or all of these ultimately alleviates discomfort and inflammation. Our on-site cryotherapy is achieved through the use of whole body cold chambers.
Upon arrival, you’ll check in at the front desk. When ready, you’ll be escorted to a private room where you’ll remove or cover all jewelry from the head down. You’ll need to be completely dry before entering the chamber. During your whole-body cryotherapy session, you are required to wear underwear at a minimum. We will provide protective socks and gloves.
The chamber will be brought to sub-zero temps and you’ll enter and remain in the chamber for up to 3 minutes. After the session, you’ll be on your way to feeling rejuvenated and recovered!
